The challenge is simple. Gather a team of up to 8 swimmers and swim for an hour each, for 24 hours. It really doesnt matter what your ability is. Its not a race, no one is being timed or tracked. You swim as much as you want, as fast as you want.

Story

I'm taking part, alongside some awesome people, in a 24 hour swim relay to raise money for Level Water.

As Level Water say in their blurb for this event, it's not a race, no one is timing or counting. The challenge is getting through it! It's about motivating and cheering each other on, through swims in the dark (when things in the lake might get you!) the waves slapping you in the face swims, the tiredness and all that goes alongside it.

What do Level Water do I hear you ask?

"The first splash. The holding your breath. The echoes of laughter. The wet hair. The lifted spirits. The joy of gliding through water. The smile that lasts all day.Swimming is like nothing else. The skills you develop, the confidence you build and the joys you feel are all universal. Yet access to swimming in the UK is not. At Level Water, we use the power of swimming to improve lives for children with disabilities.Everyone should have the opportunity to learn to swim and fall in love with the water."
