Story
The official explanation: I'm taking part in the Pink Ribbon Walk to help Breast Cancer Now fund their world-class research and life-changing care for anyone affected by breast cancer. By 2030, its estimated that 1.2 million women will be living with the disease. Breast Cancer Now are uniting to make life-saving discoveries and are here to offer expert support to anyone, the whole way through their breast cancer experience. But they cant do it alone. By sponsoring my Pink Ribbon Walk you can help change the lives of men and women and the future of breast cancer. Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
On a personal level: On 3rd February 2022 I was diagnosed with breast cancer. Following surgery, radiotherapy and an ongoing prescription for tamoxifen, I am cancer-free. Once I started to recover, my very tolerant and long-suffering husband was diagnosed with a different cancer. He is now also recovering.
I'm doing this walk with friends and family to raise money and to celebrate life.
