Story
Pandemic permitting, I'm running the London Landmarks Half Marathon on 1st August, in memory of my wonderful Uncle, Godfather and inspiration - Pat.
Pat battled his devastating brain tumour diagnosis valiantly, so rarely in the absence of humour and a positive mental attitude - two things he taught me the true importance of. I am so proud to be his niece; to share even an ounce of what he was made of would be a privilege.
His legacy is immovable and everlasting. He'll be cheering me around that racecourse and raising a pint with me at the finish line!
Please help me raise as much money as possible for The Brain Tumour Charity, who work tirelessly to find a cure for this cruel illness. They're set on finding new treatments, offering the highest level of support, and driving urgent change. I am now a lifelong advocate and supporter of their work!
If the event doesn't go ahead - then we've raised money for charity without the need for the grueling run. Everyone would be a winner!
