Never in a million years did I think I would be running the Great North Run in memory of Andrew Peat.

He sadly passed away from bladder cancer in December 2022 aged 54 and there isn’t a day that goes by without him being in my thoughts or memories.

This is going to be the toughest half marathon I have ever done mentally and emotionally, I won’t have him tracking me on the app and sending me motivational messages to keep me going but deep down I know he will be looking down on me and telling me “keep going Abz you are almost there”.
