Story
When my dad was diagnosed with terminal cancer 15 years ago, the hospice he was cared for at were amazing. They ensured we had everything we needed to enable him to live the last part of his life with pain free dignity.
Overcoming the grief that consumed me after his death was like walking through fire; terrifying, painful, and at sometimes, totally overwhelming. A fire walk seems like a very fitting way to raise money for an incredible place that provides so much support for people in need of sensitive and specialised care.
The care Bury hospice provides is holistic, they care for the whole person.
They endeavour to cater for the physical, emotional, spiritual, psychological and social needs of patients, families and carers and they aim to give patients the best quality of life that they possibly can, by providing care that is appropriate to their individual needs.
