Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Here’s another one for you Granny!

March 2020 marks 10 years since we lost an amazing, caring woman, Shelagh Morris. She was a wonderful granny to 8 grandchildren, who always put other people first and was so loving to all of her family.

On the 19th March 2017, Joe (my brother) and I ran Coventry Half Marathon, raising over £500 for this wonderful charity, and although I’m not sure I can drag him into this one, I feel it’s time to raise some more money in Granny’s memory to mark the occasion.

So, 28th March this year I’ll be getting in Bangor pool to swim 5km. That’s 200 lengths! The furthest I have ever swum is 3.5km and staring at the same black line for over 1hr40 is going to be a challenge in itself for me – but that’s nothing compared to what Granny had to go through! On the day, I’ll be surrounded by some other members of Bangor University Triathlon Club who are also taking the plunge.

Thank you for taking time to read this page and please donate whatever you can for this amazing cause! :)
