Story
I wanted to challenge myself this year to mark my 30th and I knew I had to do the Dart10k the moment I heard about it. I hope this will spark the first of many swims. Nat and I have already signed ourselves up to a warm up 4km swim on Dartmoor, Sunday 16th June. If I survive, I'll be looking forward to September's main event. Please help us on by donating today.
I've always enjoyed a dip in the sea and with a lot of water sports under my belt I thought the 10k would be great fun, a doddle even! Months into the training, I've started to realise how bonkers swimming 10k in cold water is going to be. However, I'm still enjoying every length and open swim (except the brain freeze).
Doing it for the mums! For a mum of two girls and part time worker, life is busy and swimming is my time away to enjoy the peace ( thank you Ash x). It's been fantastic to get back into shape physically and mentally whilst training. I hope open swimming is something I can inspire my two girls to join me in. Fingers crossed they'll be proud of me on the day.
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. Please help motivate me to go for a dip more often by sponsoring me. 10k is very far when your face is under water!
