Story
Hello!
This August I’m going to be running 100 miles to raise money for the brilliant Teenage Cancer Trust. I’ll be running in memory of my incredible friend Emily - an amazing young woman who touched so many lives and was a true inspiration to everyone who knew her.
Tragically Em passed away on her 20th birthday after a long battle with cancer. As an avid supporter of Teenage Cancer Trust, who helped to support her and bring her joy during some of her toughest times, Em raised huge amounts of money for the charity through various events so I want to try and help keep up her good work! Sadly, Em's equally inspirational mum Karen also passed away earlier this year from cancer. I know that TCT meant so much to them both so I will try my best to do them both proud!
A group of friends participated in a Tough Mudder event last year and raised an amazing amount of money but unfortunately I got the flu so couldn't participate...so now it's my turn! I would be really grateful if you could donate anything you can to help other brave young people just like Emily. Thank you! <3 <3 <3

"Along with my incredible friends and family, Teenage Cancer Trust have been with me every step of the way! They have supported me in any way they could and have really helped my family and myself through some tough times! TCT make having cancer as a teenager/young adult so much easier to cope with, with dedicated nurses, support workers, arts, crafts and activity volunteers, specialised wards (in which you can have someone stay with you overnight!), pool tables, games and movie rooms, exercise and relaxation classes and specialised food nights (Dominos night being my favourite!) we really have it all! It makes the whole experience of cancer so much more bearable, almost normal!"
