I'm sure many of you know my story already, so I'll start from the past year...I have just finished a degree in Conservation Biology and part of that involved learning about forestry, agriculture and sustainability of resources. After studying these three topics, I finally had a clearer idea of what I would like to gain more experience in.

I looked for any opportunity that would offer this sort of experience- that would allow me to help others, and learn from them, in the above industries. A few weeks later I found this amazing opportunity with the International Citizen Service (a government programme)...And I recently found out that I have been accepted!

In January 2014 I will be going to Rwanda, to an area called Nyamagaba, with a team for about 10 weeks. We will be getting involved in  working on pineapple plantations, education, and different ways in working with the community.

I feel very right about this, and I would really appreciate you support on all of the steps of preparing, going overseas and bring back what I learn to my own community. I will accept any support, whether it be financial, practical in fundraising, or even just prayer.

I hope to be one of the small parts of change that is happening in Africa, and I will do my best to keep you all updated on how things go....just keep looking out for news on this page or facebook.
