Story

I've joined #TeamWomensAid to run the London Landmarks Half Marathon 2023 to help raise essential funds for survivors of domestic abuse. Domestic abuse is a gendered crime, three women in a fortnight are killed by a male partner or former partner. Domestic abuse has escalated since Covid-19. In the first 2 weeks of lock down there was a 41% increase to abuse reports to women’s aid. Women’s aid is a federation of over 170 organisations which provide just under 300 local lifesaving services to women and children across the country.
