Story
To all my generous sponsors:
Thanks SO much for helping me to exceed my target of £2500 sponsorship for the London Marathon! Wessex Medical Research is very appreciative of your help. You will enable more excellent research to be funded in the areas of common and deadly cancers, Alzheimer’s disease, osteoporosis, meningitis and other important illnesses.
I finished in 3hrs 33mins 21secs, which was a personal best by some 15 minutes, so I’m quite pleased. It was a warmish day and I had to work to keep up my fluid and carbohydrate intake, and I started getting cramp on and off from 19 miles, but luckily managed to keep going, although at a slightly slower rate.
Next is Edinburgh in four weeks, when I hope to beat 3.30, but we’ll see. Don’t worry though, I shan’t be asking for sponsorship for that one! Thanks again for your support and all the very best!
Tony.
