These brave servicemen and women face daily threats from increasingly ruthless enemies, including mortar attacks, suicide bombers, snipers and roadside bombs. When these threats become a reality, real lives are devastated. The Army Benevolent Fund is the soldiers’ charity. Since the end of the Second World War, it has given financial support and practical advice to soldiers, former soldiers and their families when they find themselves in real need. If you are reading this, it is likely that you know someone who is going to appear in or photograph this calendar. The calendar will be funded by corporate and public sponsorship. For every £1 raised, one calendar will be produced, raising at least another £7 in charitable profit.
