Story
Hi everyone. Myself and a few close friends and family have decided to participate in Aberdeen’s Kiltwalk (26 miles) this year in honour of my mum and to help raise funds for CLAN Cancer support. As some of you will know, I sadly lost my mum to cancer in December 2021 despite her giving it her best fight. CLAN assisted my mum during her journey and have also been great in helping my family after her passing.
CLAN is a charity who is there for anyone affected by a cancer diagnosis. They provide emotional and practical support to people affected by cancer, their family, carers and friends. Without the necessary fundraising, CLAN would not be able to provide support to cancer patients and families like mine who are primarily affected by this horrible disease.
We are doing the walk as a team so that we can collectively raise funds for CLAN cancer support. This charity relies on donations as there is no government funding available and every penny is so well received. Every penny we raise will be topped up by 50% thanks to the generosity of Sir Tom Hunter and The Hunter Foundation.
Any donation big or small would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you all.
