Leatherhead District is a home to a community of some 1,500-2000 Muslims. We have been served a notice to vacate the property and do not have any place to pray Jummah or daily prayers. We desperately needs to raise 2 million to buy a property.
Story
Leatherhead lies in Mole Valley district in Surrey, England and its neighbouring villages comprises Ashtead, Fetcham and Great Bookham. Leatherhead population estimate for 2018 is 33,184.
Community volunteers have organized Friday congregation for about 20 years and rented a hall at the Christ Church to provide a place of regular Friday prayers. Church has served us a notice to vacate the property and local population is left with no place to perform Friday prayers. Muslim community in Leatherhead district is under immense pressure to find a suitable place to continue the congregation that has been happening for approximately 20 years. LDIS is now considering this to buy the property as this is the only option to help and support the community.
This is an urgent appeal to you and your organization to help us in our noble cause and have your share in the blessings of both worlds
