Story
In support of Cavendish Cancer Care, I'll be undertaking The Yorkshire 3 Peaks Challenge on Thursday, August 4th. The route is 24 miles (38.6km) long and includes 1585m (5200ft) of ascent in 12 hours.
Without a doubt, the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge is one of the most rewarding challenges in the UK. Pen-y-Ghent (694 metres), Whernside (736 metres), and Ingleborough (723 metres) are three of Yorkshire's most well-known peaks.
Cavendish Cancer Care is a Sheffield-based organisation dedicated to improving the quality of life for cancer patients and their loved ones. They assisted over 1900 cancer patients and their families, in the previous year. Individualised therapy and support services are offered at no cost.
- £380 --> Provides one complete course of therapy for one person
- £270 --> Funds a course of one to one therapy for a child affected by cancer
- £27 --> Provides a reflexology session for a cancer patient
This is a personal campaign for all of us, as many of us know or have been affected by cancer, and I hope that my friends and family will also donate and spread the word.
As part of the fundraising, I will be doing weekly activities and promise to shave my hair live on social media if we raise £1000.
It would mean the world to me if you could help us raise £1,000 for this worthy cause and share it with your friends and family so that Cavendish Cancer Care can continue to help families.
