Story
Saad Ibn Ubadah asked the Prophet (PBUH) what charity is best, to which the Prophet replied, “A drink of water.”
Give the gift of clean water
A staggering 2.2 billion people don’t have access to clean drinking water. That’s one in three of all people on the planet.
When a family has access to clean water, it changes everything. Women who had to spend their days walking miles now have the time to earn an income or plant vegetables to feed their families. The children who accompanied them can now attend school. The health of every family in the community is improved, and they no longer have to worry about thirst, waterborne disease, or crops or livestock dying.
£800 will provide a whole community in drought-hit communities with a deep water well, and clean water for years to come (Pakistan/Bangladesh).
Please give as much as you can or whatever you can, every penny goes a long way Inshallah.
Giving people the blessing of clean easily accessible water is such a rewarding way of giving to those in need of such a simple thing to us. It really is something that we take for granted everyday so please give what you can and may Allah reward you all for your efforts 🤲🏽
The Prophet Muhammad, Peace be upon Him, said: “The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.” (Al-Tirmidhi)
