We support young people around the world to confront the planet's most urgent crises

Story

Hey, Thanks for visiting this page.

In July 2012, I'm leaving to go to India for 10 weeks with Raleigh International (A youth and sustainable development charity.)

I was selected to take part in the 'International Citizenship Service' which gives young people the opportunity to play an active role in positively impacting some of the poorest areas of the world.

Working alongside a community in Mysore district, with volunteers from UK and India. I'll be involved in supporting the livelihoods of local people with projects around eco sanitation. This will include:

Participatory assessment-looking at their needs, health training and education, constructing eco sanitation units, creating and planning health camps and setting up garden schemes using eco sanitation fertilizer for them to use or sell to supplement their livelihoods.

On returning to the UK, I will be involved in social action projects.. More details to come..

The money raised will help Raleigh to ensure more young people get the opportunity to make a positive difference to poverty.
