Story

We’re running the 2022 Royal Parks Half Marathon in aid of The National Brain Appeal.

Richard is a trustee for The National Brain Appeal and we both value the great work they do. We’ve seen first hand the impact of brain conditions on people we care about, both those directly affected, and for their nearest and dearest.

Your donation will help to improve the outcome and quality of life for the one in six people affected by a neurological condition. These include dementia, brain cancer, stroke, multiple sclerosis, epilepsy and Parkinson’s disease.

The National Brain Appeal raises funds to advance treatment and research at The National Hospital for Neurology & Neurosurgery and the UCL Queen Square Institute of Neurology together known as Queen Square.

To put another spin on this 13.1 mile run…. Richard and I plan to put our competitiveness aside and run together in harmony… for quite a long way!! Will we cross the line together with beaming smiles … let’s see …. :)

About the charity

There are 14.7million people – that’s more than one in six – in the UK living with a neurological condition. Here at the country's leading neurological centre, we’re passionate about supporting the hospital to help improve the lives of patients through treatment and research.
