Story
On Sunday 21 May, members of the Abbey Gate Sixth Form and Staff are participating in the Chester Half-Marathon in aid of their respective House charities. They will be raising money for Claire House Children’s Hospice and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital in an event that has long been a College favourite. This year, however, a new set of challengers are stepping up to the plate (From left to right: Dr Stephen Ball, Mrs Caroline Bennet, Miss Lauren Chapman, Charlie Jelfs, Will Freeman, Mr Simon Horsefield, as well as Geroge Young & Mr Daniel Kebell), some aiming to smash personal bests and others just to complete the gruelling course, whilst also sporting ridiculous costumes.
We would like to ask for your assistance with reaching our fundraising goals, supporting these amazing charities who set out to help seriously and terminally ill children live life to the full, creating wonderful experiences and bringing back a sense of normality to family life. By providing specialist nursing, healthcare and end of life care, as well as essential emotional support, these charities help families through some of the toughest times of their lives.
Any donation helps and is much appreciated by all runners. Please follow the links below to support the House of your choice and thank you for your support!
