Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

In the early hours of the 1st January 2014 (New Years eve night) a neighbours firework sparked a fire at my family home of 24 years. My Sister and baby nephew was asleep on the 3rd floor when the fire broke out and were the only ones home.

By brave Sister Daisy did all she could to keep herself and her three year old son calm and as safe as possible for as long as possible with the limited fire safety knowledge she had. The fire came up the centre of the house on the inside and was climbing up the outside of the house, they was trapped.

Meanwhile the heroic firefighters were battling the blaze both outside and inside in order to get to them both and bring them out safely.

As a family we lost the only home we ever knew, our possessions and life as we knew it. But my sister and nephew were saved by the actions of the firefighters that night.

For this, I'll be eternally greatful and I want to give back as much as I can to such a worthy cause by running my second London Virgin Money Giving Marathon.

I'll take you all on my journey with regular updates and photos so please pop back on to see how it goes.
