I have signed up for a 17-day trip with Penny Appeal to hike to Base Camp Mount Everest. Mount Everest is famously known for being the tallest mountain in the world, along with my fellow hikers, we aim to hike to Base camp, which is situated in Nepal at an altitude of 5,364 meters (17,598 ft).
I signed up because I want to make a difference, in the lives of thousands of people in need. I want to challenge myself like I’ve never done before and hopefully inspire others along the way.
The money raised will go directly to Penny Appeal’s Rohingya Emergncy Appeal, around 300 villages destroyed and hundreds of thousands of Rohingyan Muslims have been forced to flee from their homes in Myanmar. This appeal is to help the hundreds of thousands of refugees in Balukhali refuge camp in Cox Bazaar, Bangladesh.
The camp is home to over 500,000 displaced refugees who are in urgent need of food, water, shelter and medical attention. Your donations will help us provide food, clothes, hygiene and sanitation items as well as supplies of clean, fresh water, alongside building much-needed toilets and shelters.
Penny Appeal are covering the cost of the trip, so the money you donate will be used strictly for this charitable cause. Please help me raise as much as possible!
