It is my honour to be running the Virgin London Marathon on April 13th 2014 in memory of Matthew James Pinnock, my hero and best friend.

Matthew was diagnosed with a brain tumour on 12th January 2012 and was given just 48 hours to live in February, though he didnt give up that easily. He spent the next 10 months fighting "the little bugger". We spent a lot of time together during this year with highs and lows, but he never stoped smiling and we never stopped laughing together. On December 14th 2012 Matthew surcame to his terrible disease and passed away.

CLIC Sargent is a brilliant charity that provide support for children and young people with cancer. In particular they provided help and support for Matthew and his family during an extremely difficult time.  The work they do in such a dark time is priceless.
