Story
In celebration of Lenny Battista's beautiful little life I will be walking 48 miles in a day to raise money for Tiny Lives, a charitable trust that supports the Newcastle Neonatal Service at the RVI by caring for 800+ premature and sick newborn babies and their families each year.
I never had the opportunity to meet Lenny but, like many others, I have been awe-stuck by how perfect, adorable, and loved he is.
I have also been incredibly moved by Charlotte and Tony's strength, resilience, and compassion for other parents who are enduring similar pain.
I can't even begin to understand how Charlotte, Tony, and their families are currently feeling, but I can do something to honour Lenny's life and to raise money for a charity that has been invaluable to Charlotte, Tony, and thousands of parents across the North East.
The route/location of the 48 mile challenge is still TBD, but the walk itself will take place on Saturday 12th November. Updates on route/location will follow.
Any donations are welcome. I am absolutely NOT fit enough for this challenge so please share with your family, friends, colleagues, and any old randomers on social media so we can raise as much money as possible. Every penny raised is absolutely crucial to Tiny Lives and to parents like Charlotte and Tony.
