This April I will be taking on the challenge of running the Boston and London Marathon in the same week!
I have a huge passion for running and since running my first marathon in 2014 I have made good friends in a brilliant club, ran races all over the country and achieved goals I did not think possible.
It is not a secret that I love running and this is certainly a challenge I will be grabbing with both hands!
That been said; this challenge is out of my comfort zone and will require a lot of hard work and commitment. My training will require between 50-80 miles a week throughout the dark cold winter months, 5am starts will soon become routine and training up to 10miles a day before work will be the "norm". Your kind sponsorship will certainly act as motivation when instead of curling up on the sofa after work I will head out and train for the challenge! I will post regular updates of training, and I will also try to post a picture of each run on Instagram!
The charity I have chosen is St Johns Ambulance. They train over 400,000 people each year to save lives. From my own experience working in schools with children I have seen first hand how valuable this training is. It is basic training but can have such a big impact. I have kept my own first aid qualification up to date for the last 12 years as it is something that can be called upon in a moments notice. Through your generous sponsorship people will have access to important skills they might not otherwise learn.
