We Help Oesophago-gastric cancer patients to improve their cancer journey

Story

The charity I’ve chosen to raise money for is OGCancerNI. This is a relatively new charity which has been set up specifically to benefit patients and families affected by Oesophago-gastric cancer in Northern Ireland.

As some may be aware, I sadly lost my Dad Séan to this horrible illness back in 2015 aged just 67. Admittedly it was a sickness I knew very little about at the time but I quickly learned just how cruel it can be. Dad was diagnosed with the cancer in August 2015 and we lost him just 3 months later in November that year despite his ferocious battle with the disease. For anyone who knew him, they’ll tell you he was a gentle, dear, honourable man and one hell of a friend to have.

It is for this reason I have chosen to support OGCancerNI. They are an organisation which aims to raise both awareness and understanding of this cruel disease leading to earlier intervention in patients and, ultimately, saving lives.

Any donation would be truly appreciated!
