Thanks to generous donations we have already been able to support ground-breaking research over the last few years, but with your help we can do more to develop the patient care and treatments of the future.

Story

Hey all

I’m throwing myself in at the deep end and boxing for a good cause. As many of you know I’m no fighter lol 😂 I have set myself this challenge because seeing first hand the incredible work the critical care nhs staff do, I need to do my bit to raise some funds for them.

Please all I ask is a little donation to this fantastic cause even if it’s just £1 , every little helps. (I’m not trying to sound like Tesco’s lol )

Also if you would like to come watch me get battered in the ring please contact me Aaron Coulstock via Facebook Tickets start from £25

Many Thanks and Bring It On

Aaron

In 2021 the N&N Hospitals Charity awarded a £16,000 research grant for Dr Kate Manley to be able to continue her work as a Urology research fellow as part of a team conducting research into new prostate cancer screening methods. The team have developed the Prostate Urine Risk (PUR) test, which is now in the validation stage of its path towards clinical use. This test is able to differentiate between different levels of prostate cancer risk, allowing doctors to predict the likely course of the cancer and prescribe the most appropriate course of action. This is an important improvement for the quality of life for men at low or intermediate risk, who may experience more severe symptoms from treatment than from the cancer itself. Our grant was a small amount in comparison to the overall funding for this project, but it allowed Dr Kate Manley to be part of the research team. This was made possible thanks to generous donations to our charity. What will you make possible with your support?
