Story
Running the London Marathon has been on the bucket list for a while. In recent years, both of my parents have suffered and continue to suffer the effects of cancer. I applied to charities all linked with my parents and fortunately, Ovarian Cancer Action have given me the chance of running for them.
It's estimated that there are around 4,100 deaths from ovarian cancer in the UK in every year - one woman every two hours. Because the symptoms are common and misdiagnosed, ovarian cancer is often diagnosed late. It is clear that more research is required to combat this awful disease and hopefully we can all work together to try and get closer to achieving this.
I know times are tough for many families at the moment, so thank you so much for donating to this fantastic cause.
