Story
Peace, Blessings and Greetings,
This Ramadan I have chosen to transform the lives of vulnerable and orphan street and working children in Bangladesh, through Human Appeal's outreach programme.
Help us to shine a light of hope for Bangladesh street and working children and help build a better future for them.
Dig deep into your pockets and support a street child in Bangladesh.
In Bangladesh, millions of lives hang in the balance. In the city of Dhaka, an estimated 350,000 vulnerable children (mostly orphans) live and work on the streets every day. Exposed to horrendous and horrific manners of abuse, exploitation, neglect and trafficking. Sadly this includes drugs, sex trafficking, slavery, child labour and more.
I am supporting Human Appeal to combat the vulnerable situation of these children who will be provided direct services through an outreach programme. This includes health care, counselling support to street and working children to address their immediate safety; education, life skills and vocational training to enable and empower the children to live fulfilled and productive lives.
Here is how you can make a BIG DIFFERENCE.....
For £200 (as little as 54p a day) provide a brighter future for one year to a child living on the streets of Dhaka with: -• Daily nutritious food
• Primary healthcare access
• Education, life skills and vocational training
• A safe space
• Psycho-social counselling for improved mental health and well-being
• Recreational activities
Give this Ramadan and multiply your rewards of giving charity.
"Give charity without delay, for it stands in the way of calamity" (Al Tirmidhi)
“The best charity is that given in Ramadhan.” [At-Tirmidi].
May Allah reward you abundantly!
My Story - Why I have chosen to support this project?
After almost two decades of suffering, in July 2018 I was diagnosed with endometriosis. On 4 June 2019 (Eid Day), due to the severity and impact the disease was having on me I had a hysterectomy. This means I will not be able to have children (I currently have no children).
I want to help develop this project because it supports and works with children who are vulnerable and in need of my support. So please help me to support them.
In April 2019 I took on a pledge to raise funds for an outreach programme to help the vulnerable and orphan street children in Bangladesh.
This was just weeks before I had my hysterectomy in June 2019. It was my way of keeping the motherless mother in me alive.
In September 2019, I was blessed to visit Bangladesh where I witnessed first hand on the ground the horrendous conditions these young vulnerable children face each day. The dangers of exploitation, trafficking and abuse they tackle every day is unfair but true.
