Animal Cancer Trust. Fighting cancer in our pets. Providing support to patients, owners and vets.

Our beloved little Percy was devastatingly diagnosed with Prostate cancer in November 2021. As many of you know Percy is a strong, stubborn, mischievous, loving little dog who is showing much more strength and resilience than what we are during this very difficult time. 

Following a quick diagnosis and the help of our vets we started on our difficult journey fighting this awful disease. Percy has been undergoing and coping well with chemotherapy and went on to have Prostatic neoplasia embolisation surgery to prevent the spreading of this disease. During this time Percy continued to show us love, devotion and strength. As brave as he is we were fortunate enough to notice symptoms of Kidney failure and he critically underwent urgent surgery. Back home Percy is recovering well and continuing to fight this battle.  

As much as we want to take this disease away, all we can do is be by his side keeping him loved, happy, comfortable and most importantly out of pain. We are on this path as a family and we are battling through this together. 

Percy is courageous, brave and incredibly strong and it is this strength that is holding our family together. His unconditional love and the joy he provides is keeping us strong during this heart breaking time.  

We do not wish for gifts to celebrate our marriage, we wish for you to support ACT and together we can fight cancer in our pets. We are thankful that we caught this early, that we could start treatment and more importantly that we can continue with treatment. We know there are many families who are not as fortunate and they need our support.
