I'll be taking part in a 48k trek in the beautiful Peak District to raise funds for the John Lewis Corporate Division's Charity of the Year - Bliss.

I begin my challenge on Saturday 10 September 2011, with a 20 mile hike encompassing Chrome Hill, Parkhouse Hill and the High Peak Trail, ending at Brassington. Sunday I'll tackle a 6 mile (2 hour) trek from the village of Brassington to reach Black Rock - where I will abseil down Black Rock to complete the challenge.

Bliss, the special care baby charity, provides vital support and care to premature and sick babies across the UK. Founded 30 years ago, they offer guidance and information at a critical time in families' lives. They also fund ground-breaking research and campaign for babies to receive the best possible level of care regardless of when and where they are born.
