Story
I've signed up for RideLondon-Essex 100 (I must be crazy) which will take place on 28 May 2023.
I am participating in memory of Ruman, my sister's husband who sadly lost the battle against covid19 in January 2021. I am hoping to raise some money for Guys and St Thomas' Hospital. This hospital is local to me and this is where I received my first covid19 vaccination which gave me hope, and although the vaccines came too late for Ruman, they no doubt helped me fight off the killer virus in early 2022.
As I write this I recall the hope Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth gave us when she said "if we remain united and resolute we will overcome it" and so we did. We have learned to live with covid19 but its long term effects still hurting us. Your donations could help fund ground-breaking new research into treating long COVID and support the ongoing efforts to recover from the covid19 pandemic.
I have hardly been on my bike since the pandemic began, but I know with your help I can do it - for together we are more!
I only have 38 days to get myself ready for the big day, so help me friends, press the “give now” button and motivate me to get the training going ...
May the force be with us!
