Story
Unfortunately, I found out in jan this year that my cancer has returned. I will therefore not be able to participate in Just Walk. I WILL STILL be abseiling the Spinnaker Tower in May so fundraising is ongoing
In 2013 I lost my father to Kidney cancer. It was the hardest decision we made to put dad in a home, but I'm a cancer patient too and would have struggled to give him the support needed.
After much searching I found the QAHH and just knew that it was the place for dad. They not only care for ex-service personnel but those in need of intense medical and rehabilitation needs. They are totally charity funded and do amazing work. Although my dad was dying they would still take him to the pub and welcomed 'harvey' his dog with open arms. They made him smile again, but when dad's health declined everything was discussed with the family and the support they gave dad and us was fantastic.
Now its time to payback alittle. I will be abseiling down the Spinnaker Tower in Portsmouth and doing 'Just walk' across the downs in aide of them.
If my cancer comes back I wouldnt want to be cared for anywhere else.....so please help me to help them
