Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
This is my ninth fundraising campaign in seven years (we've raised over £31,000 together MA). and it's just as important as ever for me to ensure the money I ask you to donate is fully spent on those in need. As always I've thought about which charity I should support this year and after more research I have decided to support Hand In Hand For Aid Development again.
Last year, during July, August and September 2019 in conjunction with HIHFAD's UK Aid Manager we helped 87 ORPHANED CHILDREN (90 in July) whose donors had withdrawn support in Aleppo and Idlib in Syria, and Hatey in Turkey. I have been sent all of the donation receipts, photos and annual updates on the orphans and so know our money has been spent on these vulnerable children.
I would like to raise money again for these orphans as I know that 100% of the money we raise will go directly towards them. Let's do it again this year and help these innocent souls who have lost their homes, their schools, their parents and everything that was normal for them. I really hope we can smash my target this year.
Syria has been reduced to rubble and millions of people’s lives have been destroyed. It is our duty to make sure that no one is left without food, clean water or shelter. These children's lives were torn apart through no fault of their own. They’ve seen their loved ones killed and have had to leave their beautiful homes with nothing but the clothes on their back. Please join me in making a small difference to these beautiful children's lives.
Here are the facts about the charity:
1. They are a charity that works from within Syria and employs approximately 550 Syrians who know the region and their people to provide direct and effective support.
2. They have a 100% donations policy and I have been assured that any admin fee is covered by the volunteers themselves.
3. The work they do is incredible. From emergency relief, medical aid, building hospitals, setting up schools to community empowerment - they take a holistic view in caring for Syrians.
See articles they've been mentioned in: https://www.theguardian.com/global-development/2015/mar/12/syria-crisis-how-you-can-help-donate-aid AND https://m.huffingtonpost.co.uk/entry/how-to-help-aleppo-charities-and-organisations-to-donate-to-including-msf-the-red-cross-and-the-white-helmets_uk_584ff7a8e4b040989fa80770.
All my best wishes are with you and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for joining me in supporting a great cause once again.
Much love, peace and blessings to you all.
