Wadebridge, which was designed by O.V. S. Bulleid and built at Brighton in 1945, has retained its original air-smoothed casing and is often known as a Spam Can or Flat Top due to it's shape.
When Wadebridges 10 Year Boiler Ticket expired in 2016, she was taken out of use and joined the queue to enter our Ropley Works.
Over the next six months she will be in the shed being assessed as to the status of her boiler and other parts, with a hope that full restoration can start in 2022. Please help us to fast track the return of this iconic engine, the oldest surviving Bulleid light pacific.
