Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

This October I'm going to run the London Marathon along with my wife Anne Marie and brother James. For the last 10 years or so we've all entered the ballot and have all been unsuccessful each time. This year Anne Marie got in so as per the rules (??) this meant myself and James had to enter too through charity places.

This will be my first and last marathon! I'm aiming to just get round, comfortably, in around 4 1/2 hours - we'll see though...

The decision on what charity i would run for was easy. In 2013 my aunt Lorna was diagnosed with Huntington's disease which was a huge shock for all the family particularly as there had been no family history of the illness. The Scottish Huntington's Association are a great support to her and to many other families who are affected by the disease in Scotland. They're a small charity but deserve a huge amount of support for the help they give out.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to the charity. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
