Story
Thank you for visiting my JustGiving page
I am trekking the Great Wall of China in October for my Dad who died of pancreatic cancer aged only fifty four, to raise money for the charity Pancreatic Cancer UK.
The photo is my Dad and I on his last Christmas. Despite painful illness and treatment, then a terminal prognosis he continued telling jokes, shared his music collection with the other patients and was wonderful, kind and humorous. My goal is to train hard, and trek 4-6 hours a day to reach the 'heavenly stairway' section of the wall on 25th October, which would have been his 84th birthday.Pancreatic cancer has a survival rate of only 4%. Donations will help research with the aim of giving hope of survival to those diagnosed, and the people who love them.
