Story
On April 18th 2020 Henry, Emily, Olly and I will be walking The Twighlight Walk in memory of my beloved Mum and their Mama.
Mum was diagnosed with Colon Cancer in May last year. It was all a massive shock, she felt bloated, tired but no other symptoms. In June she had a major operation to remove the cancer but sadly it had spread. Mum couldn’t recover from the operation and the cancer took hold.
Sadly she passed away in July - she was our world and is dearly missed every day.
In memory of Mum, a keen gardener, we are raising funds to add a high quality Polytunnel to the LOROS building. This will be used by patients for a range of gardening activities as part of their therapy to relieve end of life stress and anxiety.
The new LOROS Day Therapy Unit at Groby Road Leicester opened about a year ago to provide a range of clinical services, complementary therapy and support for terminally ill patients in Leicester, Leicestershire, and Rutland.
