On Saturday 26th September this year a group of Whitstable women - Bianca, Tizzy, Andrea, Mary, Becky, Chris and Josie - will be walking 26.2 miles each through the night in London at the Shine Night Walk Marathon to raise money for Cancer Research UK.

We’ve all been affected by cancer in different ways – some of us have lost loved ones to it or seen people we love battle with and survive cancer.

In particular we have been motivated to walk together this year by Tom Lambert – Bianca’s husband, Tizzy’s son and great friend to the rest of us. Tom has been receiving pretty brutal treatment for cancer this year and has inspired us all with his amazing positive attitude and determination to kick cancer into touch – and we’re delighted that he’s winning the battle. Tom’s resilience and good humour will be encouraging us to walk through the blisters and exhaustion on 26th September. As will your sponsorship and donations!

Beach Hut Barbecue Sunday 2nd August

Join us for a burger & cocktail on the beach from 4-7pm*

Venue: beach hut No 30 Tankerton West on the Tankerton Slopes (close to the lifeguard hut).
