Story

I am climbing Snowdon in Winter and raising funds to rebuild lives in Pakistan following the devastating floods of August 2022. Alhamdulillah, Islamic Relief has assisted over 600,000 people devastated by the recent floods in Pakistan and now they are looking at the rehabilitation of homes that have been destroyed or damaged. Most of the homes that have been washed away and destroyed were made from mud bricks and wood, with no solid foundations to withstand the flood waters. Following the devastating floods of 2010, Islamic Relief rebuilt entire villages, providing homes to tens of thousands of people. When the waters of the 2022 flooding started to recede, homes built by Islamic Relief following the 2010 floods were still standing! The total cost of the build for each home, including materials and labour is £2,000 per home, built with solid foundations and adequate materials to make the homes future proof and flood resistant. Please donate generously!
