Story

Ok 19th April 2016 I had a cycling accident (1 star, would not recommend) and as a result had my first ride in a helicopter. I was incredibly fortunate that, due to the generosity of strangers the helicopter, trauma doctor, paramedic and of course pilot were there for me. I was  one of the lucky patients who went on to recover well. This means I feel it's up to me to help them whenever I can.

I've applied for the marathon ballot for a decade and finally I got my place. So almost 7 years to the day I will be on the start line of the London marathon.

To be honest I'm finding the training less fun than I'd hoped, it's been hard in the wet and cold and some days I just can't be bothered (that's me being polite). But I'm going to do them proud.

Then I'm signitup for an ultra marathon 🤣
