SAMs Walk · 8 June 2013

We support Addenbrooke's and the Rosie to change patients' lives.

Story

I read somewhere that 3% of newborn babies require Special Care, 1% require Intensive care.  Sam was one of the 1%.  He was born 12 weeks early at Hinchingbrooke Hospital  with very little sign of life.  The staff managed to get him stable enough to transfer to Intensive care at The Rosie in Addenbrookes, after 6 weeks intensive care came another 6 weeks special care back at hinchingbrooke.

Sams journey hasn't been easy, but today he is a very happy baby.  On 8th June, I'll be joining friends and family of Sam to perform Sam's walk, a 23 mile journey from Addenbrookes hospital in Cambridge back to Godmanchester - replicating Sam's journey home 2 years ago.

Please help me to support ACT so that we can help make sure that  those 3% of new borns continue to get the best chance of life.

Thank you,

Zoe x
