Alzheimer’s Society is transforming the landscape of dementia forever. Until the day we find a cure, we will create a society where those affected by dementia are supported and accepted, able to live in their community without fear or prejudice.

I am raising money for Alzheimer’s Society in memory of Sally. Sally was my second cousin. In the last 6 years, partly as a consequence of Sally & Ray housing me when I was working night shifts in Kirkcaldy, we became much closer and great friends. I will miss her always.

I am hoping to get a London Marathon place for October 2021, but there are no guarantees. If I get a place, I need to raise £2000. Raising this money seems like a good focus, whether I get a marathon place or not, and I’m sure Sally would have approved! 

So here’s to you, Sally, and to the good times. I’ll be remembering all the fun we had as I (hopefully) run an awfully long way, powered by cake!
