Hi I'm Zara and I'm seven years old. 

I have been growing my hair for nearly two years, so that it's long enough to be made into a real hair wig for a child who is suffering from hair loss as a result of cancer or other illnesses.

I had to grow it until there was at least 30cm to donate so they could make it into a nice long wig for a girl.

Well, my hair is finally long enough and an appointment is shortly to be booked at a local hairdressers.

I'm donating my hair to The Little Princess Charity who make these wigs from real hair and I would like to raise lots of extra money for them along the way.

Mummy and Daddy will post pictures of the event as it happens
