In memory of Zac Banks
Story
Zac's Light is in memory of beautiful Zac Banks who sadly, after growing perfectly in pregnancy for over 9 months, was born sleeping forever. Zac was a perfect baby weighing 8lb 14oz with brown hair and blue eyes. When Zac was born he showed no signs of breathing and it was found that he, for unknown reason, had suffered hypoxia (lack of oxygen) during the short labour. Our lives changed forever after that moment. We are grieving for losing our son and the entire life he has lost x
Zac's light shines on..
We support and fundraise in Zac's Memory for charities including Surrey Sands, the Stillbirth & Neonatal Death Charity to help to support bereaved parents and families. This is through organising events, taking part in challenges, and selling original design and craft work through fairs and our online shop.
As of September 2011, Lisa is Fundraising Coordinator for Surrey Sands.
To date, we have raised a total of over £22,000 since August 2010 through Zac's Light. £17,000 of which is donated to the Hospital Fund by Surrey Sands, to purchase much needed facilities for bereaved families within maternity and neonatal wards.
Over £2,200 has been raised through our Design & Craft Shop and Charity Fair. This has helped towards building a very special babies memorial garden in Epsom.

We continue to fundraise for Surrey Sands - support is still needed by bereaved parents as stillbirth is very much a sad reality of many families lives.
