Thankyou for taking the time to visit my Just Giving page and hope that you can support my attempt to do a Tandem Skydive from 10,000ft.

 

I will be strapped (very tightly) to a professional skydiver and will jump from 10,000ft, free falling for the first 5,000ft at 120mph before the parachute opens (hopefully!).

 

The purpose for this madness is to raise much needed funds for the Teenage Cancer Trust - an organisation that has worked for over 20years learning about the unique emotional, physical and practical needs that teenagers have. There’s never a good time for anyone to get cancer but the timing seems particularly cruel for a teenager as they can get some of the most rare and aggressive forms of cancer. Their rapidly changing bodies can work against them, enabling the cancer to grow faster and the emotional upheaval of adolescence can make a cancer diagnosis even harder to deal with. The Trust has specialist units to care for teenagers who would normally be treated with younger children or older patients and are able to provide for their needs and treat teenagers together.
