Story

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Why My 2015 Challenge?
Anna Booth is running 12 marathons throughout 2015 her last (she hopes!) being the Bristol & Bath in October.  Anna is running in memory of her mum, Marna Windeler, who died from the cancer myeloma and is raising funds for the charity Myeloma UK.

Anna's challenge, strength and courage (I wouldn't want to run 12 marathons in less than 12 months) and the cause she is running for really inspired me and having been affected by cancer I also chose to run for this charity - Myeloma UK.

My Challenge
2015 sees me taking on two challenges, the Edinburgh Marathon on 31 May and six days later, as long as my legs haven't fallen off, Trekfest The Brecon Beacons (TTBB) on 6 June.

I ran in the Edinburgh Marathon in 2009 and this year I will be taking part again, maybe not as a quick (not as many months spent in training) but I definitely want to finish stronger in a sub 5 hour time.

In 2014 I took part in TTBB as part of an amazing team, it was a fabulous event and one that I am really looking forward to doing again, this time as an individual entrant.  Last year we completed the TTBB in a brilliant time of just under 12 hours, this year I will be attempting to run most of the course and finish in a sub 9 hour time.

TTBB is a walk of approximately (and I say approx. as last year it turned into a 31 miler) 29 miles.  The Brecon Beacons is the training ground of the SAS and the TTBB challenge crosses the highest peaks in South Wales including Pen y Fan (886m), Com Du (873m), Cribyn (795m) and Fan y Big (719m).

My 2015 challenge and the cause for which I am running is most worthy of your support, so please dig deep and donate what you can.

With much love

Von
