Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
My friend Lindsay was diagnosed with breast cancer and went through months of punishing treatment. After all that she only had a short time before the cancer returned, which was just too cruel. Lindsay died in March 2015 leaving behind her lovely husband Kenny and Sylvie (4) and Ted (2). She fought bravely and never lost her sense of humour, which was wicked. All of us that knew her miss her loads.
While Lindsay was ill the Maggies Centre at the Western General hospital was an enormous source of support for her and her mum and Kenny too. This is my first (and last?!) half marathon. I've always been a 10K girl, but I wanted to challenge myself and at the same time do something in Lindsay's memory. I know she would tell me I'm an idiot for doing it, but I also know she'd be proud.
