We often take the simple things in life for granted, such as breaking our fasts with those we love.

Not everyone is able to do so.

For HHUGS families who have been separated from a father, son or brother, Ramadhan can be a painful reminder of their absence.  HHUGS tries to establish as much normality to a family's life.  

Some of the ways HHUGS supports families to make Ramadhan better includes:

* Through gift packs - At the beginning of each month we send packs to all of our families, which includes activity packs for children, toys, stickers, badges, beard oil, perfume, bath bombs, notepads, Sukkaru dates, sweets etc.  Families consistently say that the gift boxes they receive bring smiles to the faces of their children.

* Grocery packs delivered to their doors - for those beneficiaries in need of additional support, we provide meat, rice, pasta, oil, tinned chickpeas, tinned tomatoes etc.  This provides the family with additional support to create some normality in their lives.

* Eid giftcards - Each family receives a gift card towards a gift or clothes for their children, something to make the day special for them and their children.

Prison visits - HHUGS takes families to visit loved ones in prison, this provides an ideal opportunity for children to meet their fathers and for families to re-connect.
