I am Yuki. I am originally from Japan and living in London for 2.5 years for my work. And I am a keen marathon runner. I have participated in 7 marathon events so far, including Tokyo, Berlin, Paris and Edinburgh. And, as many other runners wish, London Marathon is the event I want to run especially while I am living in London! But its hard to get a place by myself.

I chose St John Ambulance to raise money to run in London Marathon. I didn't know this charity until my friend runner injured herself in one of those running events in London. She said that they treated her like a VIP and without charging her. 

I have never had to ask for any first aid in running events before and I hope not in the future ;-) But for its not known to many but only injured, they are always standing by to provide the first aid to those who need in the events like this. 

Their activities are not only for helping injured runners but also all kinds of ambulance services, and providing the first aid courses, etc. I hope their activities last as long as possible and as a runner myself, I would like to thank St John Ambulance for providing the peace of mind to all the runners.
