I'm a typical beer guzzling burger munching manager. Except, I have been training lately for this half marathon (and a bit) from Yates Harlow to the Warren Wood Buckhurst Hill. I was touched when I saw a youtube video of the work that is done by Variety for children and it made me driven to push myself through my boundaries to raise some money for them. It hasn't been easy....Just in the training there has been sweat blood and tears! I've swapped the beer for water and the burgers for salad and protein. I have set myself a very modest target of £350 to raise for Variety but obviously with everyone's help I would love to smash that target! If you are around on the morning of Tuesday 26th August, come and see me off, or catch me in Buckhurst Hill!! In the afternoon there'll be a street party in celebration for the work Variety do for kids so book it off work and come down!
